Biography
Amir Hassan Sadaghiani has been leading the operations at Ostrer & Sadaghiani, P.C. since April 2022. Before establishing the firm alongside his legal colleague, Benjamin Ostrer, Amir practiced law with Ostrer & Associates, P.C. starting in October 2014. He was elevated to the position of Senior Associate in January 2021. Prior to venturing into private legal practice, he served as an Assistant District Attorney for Orange County starting in December 2006. During his tenure at the Orange County District Attorney's Office, he handled a multitude of cases involving various criminal offenses such as murder, vehicular assault, arson, assault, witness intimidation, robbery, burglary, weapon possession, narcotics and marijuana possession and distribution, driving under the influence, and larceny. Mr. Sadaghiani was specifically assigned to the Special Investigations Unit where he supervised wiretaps conducted by the District Attorney's Office. Additionally, he was part of the Major Crimes On-Call Panel, responding to homicide scenes and assisting in the initial phases of investigations. Amir is a member of the New York State Bar and is licensed to practice law in the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. Born and raised in the Town of Deerpark, Amir graduated from Port Jervis High School in 1999. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics with a minor in American Politics from Bucknell University in 2003. During his time at Bucknell, Mr. Sadaghiani held leadership roles as the Student Body President and Student Body Vice-President of Finance. He also chaired the Bucknell Community Judicial Board and was an active member of Phi Kappa Psi Fraternity. In 2006, he obtained his Juris Doctor from the University of Notre Dame Law School, where he served as the Student Body President and co-captain of the Moot Court Trial Team. Amir currently resides in the Town of Goshen.
