Lori Somekh - NY Lawyer Profile

Ms. Somekh takes pleasure in assisting clients with their elder law requirements, particularly those pertaining to their health and financial well-being. She has been involved in various capacities in guardianship cases, including serving as a court evaluator, court-appointed counsel, temporary guardian, and guardian ad litem. Additionally, she has acted as a Judicial Hearing Officer for the State of New York, presiding over appeals in real property tax reduction cases. Before establishing a thriving elder advocacy practice, Ms. Somekh held the position of assistant vice president at First Northern Mortgagee Corp. and worked as an associate at Cullen & Dykman, a prestigious law firm in New York City. Ms. Somekh earned her degree from Pennsylvania State University in 1981 and obtained her law degree from St. John’s University School of Law.
