Jodi B. Zimmerman specializes in Elder Law and Estate Planning matters, offering services such as drafting Wills, Trusts, Probate and Administration petitions, and Guardianships. With more than two decades of counseling and business background, Ms. Zimmerman recognizes that practicing law entails more than just statutes and regulations; it's about providing top-notch representation to individuals. In 1984, Ms. Zimmerman obtained her BA in Humanities from Florida Atlantic University, and in 2005 she completed her studies at the Hofstra University School of Law. She is licensed to practice law in the State of New York, as well as in the United States District Court, Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, and the Supreme Court of the United States. Ms. Zimmerman holds memberships in the Nassau County Bar Association, Nassau County Women’s Bar Association, New York State Bar Association, and the Women’s Bar Association, State of New York. She was honored with the Doris S. Hoffman Outstanding New Lawyer Award in June 2013 by the Women's Bar Association, State of New York, and received the Bessie Ray Geffner, Esq. Memorial Award in June 2010 for Outstanding Newly Admitted Attorney. Additionally, Ms. Zimmerman serves on the Board of Directors of Life’s WORC, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to supporting individuals with developmental disabilities and autism. Life’s WORC delivers comprehensive services and assistance to over 1,500 individuals with developmental disabilities and autism and their families in Queens, Nassau, and Suffolk counties. The organization's residential facilities offer caring homes to more than 250 individuals in communities like East Harlem. Ms. Zimmerman is also committed to community service, having served as Team Captain for the "Making Strides Against Breast Cancer" charity walk for the past nine years.
