Biography
Theodore A. Cotter, Esq. completed his undergraduate studies at Fordham University, College at Lincoln Center, situated in Manhattan. Mr. Cotter attained his law degree from Fordham University School of Law in 2008, during which he interned under Professor Abraham Abramovsky [deceased]. Post-law school, Mr. Cotter served as a prosecutor in the Kings County District Attorney’s Office, focusing on cases involving juveniles charged as adults and crimes on school premises. Subsequently, he joined his mother, Roseann F. DiVernieri, Esq., at DiVernieri, DiVernieri, and Cotter, LLP, where he specializes in criminal defense, real estate, probate and estate administration, and estate planning. In his leisure time, he is actively involved with the Boy Scouts of America as a Troop 27 committee member in Oakwood Heights and as a board member of the Staten Island Council. Mr. Cotter is also affiliated with the High Achievers chapter of BNI: Business Networking International.
