Biography
Ms. Riggi specializes in handling cases related to medical malpractice, workplace accidents, motor vehicle incidents, product liability, wrongful death, and serious personal injury cases. She serves on the Board of Directors of the Central New York Women's Bar Association (CNYWBA) and is a CNYWBA representative to the New York State Women's Bar Association. Additionally, she writes the 1st Department Update for the New York State Academy of Trial Lawyers and has been chosen for inclusion in The National Trial Lawyers "Top 40 Under 40" list for New York. Ms. Riggi graduated magna cum laude from Siena College and earned her law degree from Syracuse University College of Law, where she was a member and Associate Editor of the Syracuse Journal of International Law and Commerce, and published a piece entitled "Who's Your Daddy: The International Market for American Sperm." Apart from her involvement with the Journal of International Law and Commerce, Ms. Riggi was a former member of the Syracuse University College of Law Moot Court Honor Society and was honored with induction into The Order of Barristers. During her time in law school, she achieved success in various trial and appellate competitions, including the 42nd annual Edmund H. Lewis Appellate Advocacy Competition (winner; best final round advocate; highest-scoring brief), the 41st annual Edmund H. Lewis Appellate Advocacy Competition (winner; highest-scoring brief), and the 36th annual Lionel O. Grossman Trial Competition (winner). Before joining Bottar Law, PLLC, Ms. Riggi worked as a judicial intern for the Honorable Gary L. Sharpe, the former Chief Judge of the United States District Court for the Northern District of New York, as a student attorney at the Saratoga County District Attorney's Office, and as an intern for the then-United States Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton. She also gained experience as a litigation associate at a mid-sized law firm in Syracuse, where she represented individuals and businesses in various legal matters, including appeals, commercial disputes, and the defense of personal injury claims.
