Biography

Sandra K. Cassidy is a practicing attorney at HoganWillig specializing in Personal Injury, Medical Malpractice, and Criminal Defense. With a wealth of experience as a former criminal prosecutor at the Erie County and Genesee County District Attorney’s office, she also provided legal counsel to environmental activist Erin Brockovich. Ms. Cassidy conducted investigations into chronic cancer complaints in two New York towns, one of which involved the illegal dumping of toxins across state borders. Before joining HoganWillig, she operated her own law practice in Western New York. Ms. Cassidy is dedicated to mentoring aspiring legal professionals, teaching Criminal Law and Procedure at Bryant and Stratton College. She has contributed to various publications, including writing a manual on vaccine litigation titled: Vaccine Victims, Proving Your Case to the Special Masters. ©Ms. Cassidy earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from Northern Arizona University and graduated with honors from the University at Buffalo Law School in 1985. In 2002, she completed the Trial Lawyers College founded by Gerry Spence, a program that selects only 49 attorneys from around 500 applicants annually.
