Biography
For Jonathan S. Damashek, the most rewarding aspect of his profession is advocating for individuals who deserve justice in the legal system. He takes pride in representing the underdogs against powerful corporate entities and insurance companies to help them regain what they have lost. Damashek's primary goal is to secure financial compensation for his clients to cover their past and future pain and suffering, medical bills, lost income, benefits, and the impact on their quality of life. Upon completing his studies at New York Law School in 1997, Damashek commenced his career at Schneider, Kleinick, Weitz & Damashek, a highly regarded personal injury law firm renowned for securing billions in settlements and verdicts in New York. In 2002, he partnered with Jordan D. Hecht and Judd F. Kleeger to establish a legal practice specializing in catastrophic injury claims. Over the years, Damashek has successfully obtained numerous multimillion-dollar settlements and verdicts for his clients. Notably, in 2014, he resolved a construction accident lawsuit related to labor laws for more than $9 million, involving two siblings who sustained injuries while working at a construction site. The Echeverria brothers were both hit by a falling cement block while on the exterior scaffold of a building. One brother, Roilan, underwent finger amputation and neck injury necessitating cervical fusion surgery. The other brother, Auner, suffered back, knee, and shoulder injuries, all requiring surgical intervention. In a separate case, Damashek negotiated an $8 million settlement on behalf of a three-year-old child and their family following injuries sustained from scalding hot water in an apartment shower due to a defective mixing valve.
