Biography
Katerina Grinko serves as a Senior Associate lawyer at Burner Prudenti Law, P.C.'s Westhampton Beach and East Hampton locations. She plays a vital role in assisting clients with Real Estate Transactions, Land Use, and Zoning matters spanning from Manhattan to the eastern tip of Long Island. Prior to her tenure at Burner Prudenti Law, P.C., Katerina practiced at a law firm based in Riverhead where she managed a substantial caseload involving Real Estate, Landlord-Tenant disputes, as well as Land Use and Zoning issues. She was recently honored with the "40 Under Forty" and "Diversity in Business" Awards by Long Island Business News. In 2021, Katerina was acclaimed as an "Outstanding Woman in Law" by Hofstra University School of Law Center and Long Island Business News. For the fourth consecutive year in 2024, Katerina was recognized as a Rising Star attorney for the New York Metro area by Super Lawyers, a Thomson Reuters publication. Annually, only 2.5 percent of lawyers in the state receive this prestigious recognition. She was also acknowledged in 2025 as one of The Best Lawyers in America: Ones to Watch for Elder Law in Setauket, NY, marking her second consecutive year on the list. Katerina hails from Latvia and relocated to the U.S. in her early twenties. She acquired her Juris Doctor degree from Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center and was honored with the CALI Excellence in immigration law award and the high academic achievement award. A dedicated advocate for social causes, she finds fulfillment in providing pro bono representation to immigrant children through the KIND (Kids In Need of Defense) organization.
