Biography

With extensive experience in handling disputes and investigations within the securities industry, Robert L. Herskovits brings a wealth of knowledge to each case. Drawing on his background as an in-house counsel for a brokerage firm and his experience as a FINRA arbitrator, Robert specializes in securities litigation/arbitration and regulatory enforcement matters before FINRA, SEC, and CFTC. He provides strategic counsel to broker/dealers, investment advisers, securities professionals, and defrauded investors in a wide range of litigation, arbitration, and regulatory proceedings. Certified as an arbitrator for FINRA, AAA, and NFA, Robert is deeply involved in the legal community and has served as the Co-Chair of the Committee for Securities and Exchanges at the New York County Lawyers' Association. Recognized for his achievements, Robert has been named a "Super Lawyer" for securities litigation by Thomson Reuters consecutively from 2014 to 2019 and holds an AV rating (preeminent) from Martindale-Hubbell’s peer review ratings. He earned his JD from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law and his BA from Syracuse University. Robert is licensed to practice law in the State of New York and before various federal courts, including the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 2nd Circuit, and the U.S. Supreme Court.
