Biography
Joseph A. Ginarte began his legal journey in 1982, and over the years he has watched his practice evolve into a comprehensive trial law firm with a growing team of attorneys and support staff. Ginarte attributes the success of his firm to a dedication to hard work and a commitment instilled in him during his upbringing in Newark by his parents who worked in factories. While studying at Kean University in Union, he worked full-time as a forklift operator in a factory, earning summa cum laude honors. This blue-collar background motivated him to pursue a law degree at Rutgers School of Law, with a focus on representing workers who were not receiving the compensation they deserved after workplace injuries, a cause close to his heart due to his father's experience. Workplace injury cases, particularly construction accidents, have been a significant part of Ginarte's practice and the firm's focus. In 1995, Ginarte successfully resolved a case for $9.5 million involving a young worker who suffered a life-altering injury at a construction site. The firm has secured numerous seven-figure settlements for injured clients in various areas such as products liability, civil rights, and medical malpractice. Ginarte believes that the firm's extensive experience and personalized approach set them apart, emphasizing their dedication to their clients and their willingness to fight for justice. Despite economic challenges faced by many firms, Ginarte's practice has continued to expand, attracting high-profile cases that garner media attention. One notable case involved the tragic death of a 3-1/2-year-old boy during a dental procedure in Irvington, highlighting the importance of medical malpractice investigations. Ginarte's reputation for excellence and client advocacy has earned him respect within the legal community, leading to appointments on the New Jersey Supreme Court's Civil Practices Committee and his past role as president of the Hispanic Bar Association of New Jersey. He is licensed to practice law in New York, New Jersey, and Washington, D.C. Outside of his legal career, Ginarte is actively involved in charitable endeavors and supports various nonprofit organizations in the New York/New Jersey area. He also enjoys playing golf and cheering for the New York Yankees and the New York Knicks.
