Biography

As a Partner at Iorio Altamirano LLP, a law firm specializing in securities arbitration based in New York City, I advocate for investors across the country who have faced financial losses due to misconduct by financial advisors and brokerage firms. With nearly two decades of combined experience in securities arbitration, our firm has successfully recovered close to $100 million in investment losses for a diverse range of clients, including individual investors, groups, businesses, family offices, credit unions, and institutional investors. I have managed numerous FINRA arbitration claims, collaborating closely with both retail and institutional investors, while leveraging my extensive expertise in securities arbitration and adept client management skills. My partner August Iorio and I share aligned values, expertise, and perspectives that complement each other, driving our commitment to delivering personalized, strategic legal counsel that caters to the unique requirements and goals of each client. Our practice is founded on the principle that contingency work should be customized and forward-thinking rather than generic or uniform.

I honed my trial advocacy skills at the National Institute of Trial Advocacy (NITA) and gained invaluable experience at Loyola University College of Law in New Orleans, where I represented political asylum seekers and low-income clients through the Immigration Section of the Stuart H. Smith Law Clinic. Additionally, I interned at the Federal Communications Commission in Washington, D.C., and served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Fredericka H. Wicker in the Louisiana Fifth Circuit Court of Appeal. Before embarking on my legal career, I graduated from the University of Central Florida with a degree in Political Science, specializing in International Relations, earning recognition as a Dean’s List member.

I hold licenses to practice law in New York and New Jersey and am fluent in both English and Spanish.
