Biography
My name is Carl Spector and I have been offering effective defense in criminal law cases since 1992. I served as an Assistant District Attorney for six years in Bronx County, New York, gaining valuable insight into the workings of the prosecutors' office and law enforcement within the criminal justice system. I obtained my B.A. degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo and pursued my law degree (J.D.) at Nova Southeastern University in Florida. I am licensed to practice law in New York and New Jersey, and hold inactive membership with the Florida Bar. In addition, I spent three years as a Municipal Prosecutor in Fair Lawn, New Jersey. Over the years, I have successfully handled a variety of complex criminal cases, including those involving arson and murder. Recognizing the confusion and stress often experienced by clients facing criminal charges, I prioritize clear communication, frequent updates, and ensuring full comprehension of legal proceedings. Since 2009, I have served as a Municipal Prosecutor in a prominent Bergen County community. To further contribute to the legal profession, I have authored and instructed a Continuing Legal Education course accredited by the state of New York. Currently, I serve as an Adjunct Professor at Strayer University, teaching an online undergraduate course, Introduction to Criminal Justice. With offices in New York and New Jersey, I strive to alleviate the fear and uncertainty that individuals face when charged with a crime, guiding them through the legal process with compassion and expertise.
