Biography
After graduating from the University at Buffalo and Albany Law School, I launched my career as an Assistant District Attorney in upstate New York, handling numerous criminal cases. During my tenure as a prosecutor, I gained a deep appreciation for fairness and truth. I firmly believe that good individuals can err without being labeled as bad. It is essential for the legal system to assess actions and character rather than external factors like address or attire. My advocacy for clients stems from the belief that justice should be impartial. Following my time in law enforcement, I transitioned to the litigation unit of the New York State Workers’ Compensation Board. I successfully recovered over $150 million owed to the State from entities involved in defaulted workers’ compensation trust funds. Our unit engaged in rigorous legal battles against prominent law firms at both state and national levels. Our triumphs were not just a result of our relentless approach but also our unparalleled expertise in a rapidly evolving legal domain. These values and competencies are ingrained in our firm's ethos, guiding our approach to every case we undertake. Subsequent to my stint at the Workers’ Compensation Board, I returned to the realm of criminal justice, quite literally. Upon assuming a senior attorney role with the New York State Division of Criminal Justice, I played a more substantial role in overseeing the application of forensic sciences, public safety, and legislative initiatives. From delving into mitochondrial DNA to analyzing the functionality of the Datamaster breath test device, I immersed myself in the technical nuances of criminal prosecution. While some lawyers may flaunt their comprehension of the scientific underpinnings of law enforcement, I was actively involved in shaping the regulations they often cite. Whether you are facing criminal charges, your business is under threat, or you are seeking justice for personal injuries, you deserve a skilled and seasoned legal representative.
