Biography
Lucas Buzzard previously worked as a judicial law clerk for the Hon. Peter W. Hall of the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and gained experience as a law clerk at the Second Circuit’s Staff Attorney’s Office. Lucas earned his law degree with high honors from the American University, Washington College of Law in 2010, where he held an editorial position on the American University International Law Review. During his time in law school, Lucas undertook internships with the Hon. Reggie B. Walton of the United States District Court for the District of Columbia and the Hon. Anna Blackburne-Rigsby of the District of Columbia Court of Appeals. He also engaged in a legal clinic dedicated to providing representation for indigent criminal defendants in Montgomery County, Maryland. Prior to pursuing his legal career, Lucas was involved in teaching fourth grade and served as an English instructor in Mexico City.
