Biography

Katherine began her legal career in the Workers’ Compensation division at Lipsitz, Ponterio & Comerford, LLC in 2020. She specializes in advocating for injured employees and their loved ones in front of the New York State Workers’ Compensation Board. Before joining the firm, Katherine dedicated six years to representing employers and insurance providers in civil litigation, specifically focusing on Workers’ Compensation cases. Additionally, she volunteered at a non-profit organization, offering legal assistance to low-income individuals dealing with housing issues. Katherine earned her bachelor's degree from Binghamton University and her Juris Doctor from the University at Buffalo School of Law. Following law school, she gained extensive experience in Workers’ Compensation Law, managing all facets of such cases. She is appreciative of the opportunity to re-engage in this field and provide legal support to injured workers and families affected by occupational diseases like mesothelioma and lung cancer.
